Finding Common Ground Through Narrative Stories
(virtual) Session 2 on Friday, March 8, from 3:00-3:30 PM (PT)
In this session, we will look at common stories that build common ground and instill a sense of belonging. Through stories that help refugees write narrative stories, we will walk through the process of building a common understanding, a sense of belonging in a new place, and a sense of identity in a new land. Please join me through these stories as we understand how newcomers become integrated and thriving participants in their new homeland. The lessons are built on the foundations of Berry’s (2017) model of acculturation and infused with a narrative educational psychology framework. Berry, J. W. (2017).
