Scratch is a block-based programming language that supports learner development of essential 21st century skills. Come learn how students can use Scratch to creatively practice spoken language and pronunciation, to present original story ideas, and to demonstrate understanding of course content. Be a part of broadening computing participation.
Dana Saito-Stehberger is a teacher, instructional designer, and a researcher. She is the Director of Curriculum and Professional Development on the Elementary Computing for All project at UC Irvine. For 30 years, she has taught students and trained teachers in intensive English programs, university courses, and in k-12 settings in the US and in San Jose, Costa Rica and Berlin, Germany.
