The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is not only an exciting story full of mystery and suspense but also a window into human character. The presentation will describe how the story has been used with advanced readers to explore the topic of sin nature.
Reflections on the CELEA Mentorship Program
In-Person: Tuesday, March 22, from 4:45-5:30PM (ET)
The aim of the CELEA Mentorship program is to provide a place for Christian TESOL professionals to meet and to be encouraged in their faith as well as their profession. Come to this session to learn how it works and to hear reflections from mentors and mentees in the program.
Using Rubrics for Better Student Writing Results
In-Person: Tuesday, March 22, from 6:30-7:15PM (ET)
This session will focus on ways to design clear rubrics that can be used not only to help a teacher grade students’ work more effectively but also to assist students in the writing process.
Joshua Detherage teaches at Campbellsville University in the ESL Institute and M.A. TESOL program. He has an M.A. in TESOL and Intercultural Studies from Wheaton College and five years teaching experience in Mongolia with ELIC. He lives in Campbellsville, Kentucky, with his wife Jennifer and three children.
