Finding Balance: Teaching in a Time of Conflicting Perspectives
Keynote on Friday, March 08, from 1:15-2:10 PM (PT)
How do English language teachers manage conflicting perspectives in our work? This talk highlights balance in areas such as learner autonomy vs teacher responsibility, accuracy vs fluency, quiet vs interaction, English only vs the role of local language, new trends vs familiar methods, and evangelism vs professionalism. I will be sharing a mix of general advice and practical ideas.
