English Language Teacher Wellbeing Requires Remaining in Christ
(virtual) Session 3 on Friday, March 08, from 4:15-4:45 PM (PT)
This presentation introduces recent research on English teacher wellbeing, noted in the handout. However, as Christian teachers, it’s key for us to remain in Christ. Apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). Come hear some reflections on this and as time allows share your practices for teacher wellbeing.

Michael Lessard-Clouston (Ph.D., OISE/Toronto) trains English teachers and directs the TESOL programs in the School of Education at Biola University in La Mirada, California, U.S.A. He’s focusing on this topic because he struggles with balance and is concerned about teacher wellbeing. He’s taught in Canada, China, Indonesia, and Japan, and his recent books are Second Language Acquisition Applied to English Language Teaching (2018) and Teaching Vocabulary (Revised ed., 2021), both from TESOL Press.
